Standheizung problem!

  • Hi to all of you!
On Monday 10/01/05 I have bought Webasto at my Mazda dealer where it was built in. It is a simple timer model without remote control.
Next morning it turned on as it was programmed but after two minutes it turned on the alarm! The Mazda mechanic repaired it within five minutes obviously knowing for the problem.
Next morning Webasto turned on as programmed but turned off after three minutes with display showing F--. It was programmed to be on for 30 minutes!
Before turning the engine off I put the ventilaton showing two points and heating to maximium (29°). A/C off.
I tried this several times and same thing happens every time!
Did anyone of you experience this problem?
This car (CD 120 EvolutionII) is fantastic and so far I had no problems of any kind with it. Tchuss!

  • BOBAIS,

    Thank you for your reply!
However my Mazda garagist was trying to fix the problem for two hours today but without result!
He told me to come for two days as he will have to put in new timer unit and he had none of them available immediately.

    Hi,

I have got the same problem since x-mas. My dealer knew the problem from some other clients and checked the heater unit. Result: Wrong (old) software inside. So a new heater unit was ordered at Webasto. It will be changed within the next days.

    So long,

    Stefan
